Multimedia courseware based on concept character for chemistry topics stoichiometry, atomic structure, and chemical bonding for the development of student critical tinking skill has been developed using the constructivism approach. The study was carried out in the light of discourse analysis. The results shows that the three topics dominated by concept type based on conceptual and symbolic statements, while the critical tinking skill potentially developed for the stoichiometry topic is basic skills developments, for the atomic structure is concluding, and for the chemical bonding is giving simple explanation. Therefore, the courseware presentation developed dominated by the textual explanation and illustrative pictures related to the type of concepts of the three topics mentioned.
