Author Guidelines

Author Submission Checklist (J-MER)

Before submitting your manuscript, please ensure that all requirements below are fulfilled:

Manuscript Requirements

  • The manuscript is original, not previously published, and not under review elsewhere
  • The article is written in English (mandatory starting 2026)
  • The file is in Microsoft Word format (.doc/.docx)
  • The manuscript follows the J-MER template (A4, TNR 12, spacing 1.5, margin 2.5 cm)

Structure and Content

  • The manuscript includes: Title, Author(s), Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Method, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, References
  • Title ≤ 14 words, clear and concise
  • Abstract (200–300 words) includes: background, objectives, methods, and findings
  • Keywords: 3–5 terms, arranged alphabetically
  • Introduction includes gap analysis and novelty
  • Method is written clearly and descriptively
  • Results are supported by data/evidence
  • Discussion connects findings with theory and prior studies
  • Conclusion answers research objectives and includes contributions & recommendations

Ethics and Supporting Documents

  • A Turnitin similarity report (<20%) is attached
  • An Ethical Statement is provided
  • All authors have approved the final manuscript
  • Any conflict of interest is declared (if applicable)

References

  • Minimum 20 references
  • At least 80% from journal articles (preferably last 5 years)
  • Use reference management tools such as Mendeley
  • Follow APA 7th Edition style
  • All cited works must appear in the reference list and vice versa

Publication Policy

  • The manuscript is not submitted to another journal unless rejected by J-MER
  • Authors agree to maintain ethical and responsive communication during the review process

Article Processing Charges (APC)

  • Submission Fee: Free
  • APC: IDR 500,000 (for accepted articles only)
  • J-MER applies APC starting 2026 (previously free of charge)
