Peer Review Process

Journal on Mathematics Education Research (J-MER) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal published by Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI). All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial editorial screening to assess their suitability with the journal's focus and scope, writing quality, and similarity index.

Eligible manuscripts are reviewed through a double-blind peer review process by at least two independent reviewers. Based on the reviewers' recommendations, the Editor makes the final decision on the manuscript (accept, revise, or reject).

J-MER uses Turnitin to detect plagiarism, and the maximum acceptable similarity index is 25% (excluding references). The journal recommends the use of Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote for reference management.

All accepted articles are published as Open Access under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), allowing free access, distribution, and reuse with proper attribution.
