About the Journal

Wahana Fisika: Physics and Its Application Journal (e-ISSN: 2549-1989, https://ejournal-science.upi.edu/wafi) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal that provides a platform for publishing scientific research related to physics and its applications.

Wahana Fisika (WAFI) is published by the Physics Study Program, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, in collaboration with Perkumpulan Pendidik IPA Indonesia (PPII).

Wahana Fisika (WaFi) is a physics journal to accommodate research articles from lecturers or researchers of physics studies which include study: Theoretical Physics, Material Physics, Instrumentation Physics, Earth Physics, Astronomy, Biophysics and Modeling Physics Simulation and other pure physics applications.

All manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer review process and are published under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike (CC BY-SA) license, ensuring free and open access for the global academic community.

Due to publisher or university policy, [update per February 2026, this APC is effective starting from the article to be published in 2027] Authors whose articles are published will receive a Letter of Acceptance and must pay a contribution of: (IDR) Rp. 750.000,- 

Since its first issue (Volume 1, Number 1, 2016), WAFI has been published twice a year (June and December) and is indexed in DOAJ, SINTA, Google Scholar, and with indexation of DOI for Crossref Metadata Search.

The submitted manuscripts to this journal will be peer-reviewed by at least 2 (two) or more expert reviewers from Peer-Reviewers Team. The reviewers give scientific valuable comments improving the contents of the manuscript. Sometimes (if required) a third peer-reviewer is needed to give critical comments to the submitted manuscript. The review process used in this journal is a double-blind review system.
